Bill’s practice is focused on employment and complex civil litigation. Bill has practiced in the Fresno community since 2002, joining Dowling Aaron’s Employment Law and Business Litigation Practice Groups in 2015. Bill has over 19 years of litigation experience handling all facets of legal matters in the state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate court levels.
As a member of the Employment Law Group, Bill represents employers and management in actions venued in both state and federal court. In addition, Bill represents employers before various administrative agencies, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Department of Labor, and the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Bill has successfully represented numerous employers on matters involving issues of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour, both in response to claims brought by individuals and on behalf of a class. Bill also represents employers in connection with claims involving misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of the duty of loyalty and unfair competition.
Bill received his undergraduate degree from California State University Fresno in 1996, and his law degree from University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law in 1999, graduating Order of the Coif.
Bill is firmly committed to giving back to the community in which he was raised. In this regard, he has served as a board member of the Community Food Bank since 2003, during which he has served as board chair for three terms.
