Bob draws upon diverse professional and international experiences to advise companies and entrepreneurs on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation, governance and securities matters, intellectual property, and new corporate ventures. As part of his practice, Bob regularly assists business owners and families with succession planning, estate and trust administration, and real estate transactions. His industry experience involves agribusiness, technology, and engineering and construction.
Prior to joining Dowling Aaron, Bob worked for various organizations in Washington, D.C. and overseas, including International Justice Mission, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and 4C Global, a California-based construction firm working in Afghanistan. He has significant experience in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Western Europe, as well as throughout the United States.
Coming from a longtime cattle ranching family out of Elderwood, California, when not in the office, Bob enjoys a variety of “country” activities, staying involved in the local community, and spending time with family. He is also an avid fan of history, foreign affairs, movies, photography, and (especially) college football. He is not a fan of the seemingly infinite number of small jobs that come with owning a historic home.
