Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Kellen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Arizona State University. Deciding against a life of science, he moved to Northern California in 2009 to study at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. While in law school, Kellen took classes in Intellectual Property, Administrative law, Business Associations, and Corporate Governance. He also participated in a class-wide appellate advocacy competition and won an award for writing the best appellate brief.
Since admission to the California bar in 2013, Kellen has practiced almost exclusively in Labor and Employment, representing employees, management, and insurance companies in hundreds of employment disputes. He has worked on cases involving wage and hour disputes, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. He has extensive experience in all levels of civil litigation, from initial client intake to the appellate process. Kellen is knowledgeable and experienced with the needs of businesses navigating California’s complicated workplace regulatory scheme and legal system.
In his free time, Kellen avidly supports his hometown football and basketball teams. Along with watching sports, he enjoys trying new food and craft beers. When he can find time, he straps on SCUBA gear and flees to warm waters.
